AB Ignitis grupė (the Group) on Tuesday said that on 30 October its subsidiary UAB Ignitis renewables (Ignitis Renewables) completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares in two companies developing an onshore wind farm in the Kelmė district owned UAB E energija.

Gas consumption in Lithuania is decreasing, but in order to maintain expensive infrastructure the state will have to encourage energy production from gas, regardless of price.

Hamburg-based maker of wind turbines Nordex SE has won a contract to supply a 24-megawatt power-plant project in Lithuania, Bloomberg reports.
