A few dozen members of the Vilnius office of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) have terminated membership in the political force.
The Vilnius branch of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party wants the political force to leave the ruling bloc with the Farmers and Greens Union. The Vilnius branch is the Social Democrats' biggest unit.
The Lithuanian prime minister's team has been expanded by creating the position of adviser on equality issues. Auksė Kontrimienė has been appointed to the new position.
