Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on provisional data, in September 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises amounted to LTL 2.5373 billion (EUR 734.9 million); against August, it decreased 6.4 percent at constant prices (seasonally adjusted - increased by 0.2 percent).

Statistics Lithuania informs that, over the first half of 2014, the number of tourists grew in accommodation establishments in every county. Compared with the first half of 2013, the number of tourists grew most in Utena County (77.8 percent), the least in Alytus County (3.2 percent).

Statistics Lithuania reports that, based on non-final data from customs declarations, Intrastat reporting and VAT returns data, exports in July amounted to LTL 7.4 billion (EUR 2.14 billion), while imports to LTL 8.1 billion (EUR 2.34 billion).

Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on more comprehensive business, tax and price statistics, in the second quarter of 2014, GDP at current prices amounted to LTL 31.32 billion (EUR 9.07 billion).

Statistics Lithuania has revised up the annual GDP growth numbers from 3.1% to 3.3% for the second quarter of this year (3.1% seasonally and working-day adjusted). Domestic demand remained the main driver of growth, while net exports continued to contribute negatively.

According to the provisional data of Statistics Lithuania, in the second quarter of 2014, accommodation establishments accommodated 9.5 percent more guests than in the same period in 2013 and received 637.7 thousand tourists.
