Public confidence in President Gitanas Nausėda fell by four percentage points in the first months of this year, the latest poll commissioned by ELTA finds. Despite that, Nausėda remains the most trusted public figure in the country, with a rating of 20.9%.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis called on Tuesday for a two-week "pause" in public life, saying the government is planning to extend next week's school holidays for a week and asking people to avoid gatherings and strictly follow safety precautions.
