Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius is convinced that US Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, should she be elected to the White House in 2016, would conduct a Lithuania-friendly foreign policy.

According to Butkevičius, the current relations of Vilnius and Washington are good and both countries manage to reach an agreement on many questions. The PM says that as a president, Clinton could continue with this policy line.

"I think that it would be really advantageous. She supports the goals of our country and I hope that these good relations with the US will be maintained," the prime minister told the radio Žinių Radijas on Thursday morning.

US presidential election will be held in November 2016. Clinton announced her presidential bid last weekend.
