She discussed the election organization with President Gitanas Nauseda during a conference call today, also involving representatives of non-governmental organizations and political scientists.

"There's a proposal to extend home voting to four days – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There's a proposal to also let voters who fall into the risk group, under the health minister's order, to vote at home," the CEC chair told BNS.

"Another proposal is to extend the voting time on the voting day until 10 p.m.," she added.

The proposals have been drafted by the Justice Ministry, she said.

Lithuania will hold a general election on October 11.
