The head of the Latvian airline airBaltic believes climate-neutral flying will be possible by 2050, but admitted that the eco-friendly commitment presents an enormous technical challenge, the German press agency dpa reports.
“We cannot implement it quickly. We can only do this in a structured approach. But I still think that by 2050, maybe not every airline, but the majority of passenger air travel will be emission-free. I'm pretty sure of that,” airBaltic chief executive Martin Gauss told dpa in an interview.
