A third of households consider having solar panels installed

Some 12% of Lithuanian households have solar panels installed on their homes and 27% are considering having them installed in the near future, a public opinion poll commissioned by solar panel producer SoliTek shows.

Existing solar panel users were asked to identify the main criteria when choosing them. Respondents named an attractive price (59%), durability (53%), warranty duration (51%), efficiency (50%), high quality (34%), simple and fast installation of a solar power plant (26%).

Respondents who are considering having solar panels installed on their homes named the same criteria.

The poll was carried out by KOG institutas. A total of 1,003 residents of Lithuania aged 18-64 were interviewed.
