Energy Minister Dainius Kreivys says Russia is deliberately destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

"To our knowledge, 40 percent of the infrastructure has been damaged. That is more than 400 critical facilities across Ukraine," he said in a press release.

Lithuania is one of the few countries where Russian equipment used in Ukraine can still be found, he noted.

Lithuanian energy companies have sent 12 generators of various capacities, over 130 tons of fuel and most of the planned 550 tons of firefighting foam to Ukraine since the start of the war. Another 250 transformers and 160 generators are expected to be handed over soon, according to the press release.
