Cinema attendance and advertising volumes in Lithuania grew last year compared with 2016, with the total number of commercials screened at the country's movie theaters up by 34.2 percent to 581,000 commercials, the business daily Verslo Žinios reported on Tuesday, citing data from the market research company Kantar TNS.
"We forecast that the cinema advertising market will expand by 5-8 percent this year," it quoted CinemaAds Director Mantvidas Žalėnas as saying.
"With Lithuanian film production growing in volume and quality, moviegoer numbers are likely to increase as well," he said.
The Lithuanian cinema advertising market grew by a moderate 8.2 percent in 2016 compared with 2015.
