SocDem leader: Vilnius’ mayor has to see all people

MEP Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, leader of the Social Democratic Party (LSDP), expects the next mayor of Lithuania’s capital to take into account and solve issues of low-income earners.

“I would like very much that the elected mayor of Vilnius would see all of Vilnius, all of the people living in Vilnius. There are some very rich people, but the majority live off average or minimum income and thus problems must be solved taking into account all of the people without separating anyone,” the politician said after voting on Sunday.
