President’s adviser says NATO summit results are good and Lithuania should be pleased

Although some people expected more from the Vilnius NATO summit as regards Ukraine’s membership prospects, yet Asta Skaisgirytė, the president’s chief adviser on foreign affairs, says Lithuania should not be ashamed about the results of the summit.

“A consensus was reached identifying certain practical steps that Ukraine should make towards NATO membership. It is not a bad result, it is a good result. We should be pleased about it instead of blaming ourselves,” Skaisgirytė said in an interview to the news radio station Žinių radijas on Tuesday.
