President will travel to the Vatican to attend funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

On Wednesday, President Gitanas Nausėda leaves for the Vatican to attend the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI that will take place on 5 January at St. Peter’s basilica.

On Tuesday, President Gitanas Nausėda, accompanied by First Lady Diana Nausėdienė, paid respects to the late pope emeritus by signing in a book of condolences at the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See.
