PM hopes to see Zelensky at NATO Summit in Vilnius next year

Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė believes that the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States is important in respect of continuing support for Ukraine. Zelensky travelled to Washington DC on Wednesday, 21 December.

“President Zelensky had not travelled anywhere from the country since February. (&) We have established an image in our minds that President Zelensky is always in Kyiv or somewhere in Ukraine. So this is a big change. It is crucial that he travelled to the USA now, amid much speculation that US policy might shift because of changes to the composition of the House of Representatives,” Šimonytė told reporters Thursday.
