Parliament speaker receives Ukrainian state award

Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, the speaker of the Lithuanian parliament, has been awarded the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the second degree by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"I see this award as an incentive to do even more for Ukraine's victory," Cmilyte-Nielsen said in a press release on Saturday.

The speaker of the Seimas received the award for her personal contribution to strengthening cooperation between the states, supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state and promoting Ukraine in the world, according to the Lithuanian parliament's public relations office.
