New head of National Cyber Security Centre appointed

Liudas Ališauskas, a cyber security professional, has been appointed director of the National Cyber Security Centre under the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of National Defence reports.

The responsibilities of the head of the National Cyber Security Centre include strengthening the resilience of Lithuania’s critical infrastructure to cyber threats, managing cyber incidents, and fostering the cyber maturity of the entire country. The director also makes sure that the structure, financial and human resources of the Centre are optimal for the performance of its tasks.
