Nausėda awards Biden, high-ranking US officials

US President Joe Biden arrived for bilateral talks with President Gitanas Nausėda in the Presidential Palace on Tuesday morning.

After listening to the national anthems and a band, the presidents passed through the guard of honour and greeted ambassadors, presidential advisers and ministers gathered in the courtyard of the palace.

The Lithuanian and US leaders were set to discuss support for Ukraine, measures to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank, and the response to Belarus-backed Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
