31 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lithuania on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 491, the country's Health Ministry said.

A total of 9,891 tests have been carried out, including 1,467 on Sunday.

The ministry also said on Sunday that from now on everyone who develops symptoms of an acute respiratory infection would be tested for the new coronavirus.

Seven people have so far died of the coronavirus in Lithuania and one person has recovered.
