380 electric car charging stations will be installed near public buildings

The Ministry of Environment will allocate EUR 5 million to Turto bankas, the state company managing state-owned administrative buildings, so it would have 380 electric car charging stations installed near 200 public buildings across Lithuania. This is part of the Government’s goal to promote the use of climate neutral vehicles in the public sector.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Environment and Turto bankas presented the joint plan to expand the charging station network close to public buildings. The planned expansion is described as unprecedented. The charging stations will be used not only by public sector employees but also by members of the public, albeit the service is going to be paid.
