Swedbank forecasts Lithuania’s GDP to decrease to -0.3% this year

Swedbank has presented its latest economic outlook. Lithuania’s gross domestic product (GDP) projections have not been revised and it is forecast to stand at -0.3% in 2023 and at 1.8% in 2024.

Despite better consumer sentiment, economists point to deteriorating demand in export markets, as well as to greater interest rates and other factors that may suppress economic growth.
