President Levits: Latvian farmers should make the whole EU their home market

On 6 February, Latvian President Egils Levits welcomed Minister for Agriculture Didzis Šmits to the Riga Castle to exchange views on national and European Union (EU) priorities managed by the line ministry.

The main focus was on knowledge transfer between Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies and the agricultural sector, as well as ways of promoting agricultural exports from Latvia, the Office of the President said in a press release.
