Current account balance deficit at EUR 276.2mn in September

The Bank of Lithuania has published the balance of payments for September 2022, which shows that the deficit on the current account balance (CAB) amounted to 276.2 EUR million in September, a month-on-month decrease of 3.7%, the central bank said.

This was due to an increase in the services surplus and a narrowing of the primary income deficit, which offset a significant widening of the foreign trade deficit.
