Karsokas has nearly two decades of experience in promoting productive relationships between businesses and government, including work with the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities, the Ministry of European Affairs, Microlink Group – a Baltic IT company, Orlen Lietuva (formerly Mažeikių nafta), and Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
“One of our most important goals at Go Vilnius is to increase interest in Vilnius as a place to invest and do business, helping companies and investors find their place in our business environment. Giedrius’ skills and experience will be particularly useful in our interactions with business leaders as we work on informational and bureaucratic issues related to business attraction and development,” says Dr. Darius Udrys, director of Go Vilnius.
Last summer the City of Vilnius added marketing and business departments to the Vilnius Tourism Information Centre and Convention Bureau to create Go Vilnius – a non-profit corporation chartered by the City.
The new Go Vilnius business department will promote Vilnius as a business-friendly city, informing, supporting and assisting foreign investors, entrepreneurs, and companies that are considering or have decided to make the move to Vilnius.
