JC Coms and Japanese Consumers Co-operative Union (JCCU) want to expand cooperation with the Marijampole-based frozen bread and pastry product maker Mantinga, according to the Agriculture Ministry.

"JCCU started offering Lithuanian bread products this year and hopes to expand its product range as a result of this visit," the ministry told BNS in a comment.

"The delegation is visiting manufacturing companies and is interested in new products that could be of interest to Japanese consumers," it added.

Also on Thursday, Palionis is meeting with Slovenian Agriculture Minister Aleksandra Pivec to discuss the EU Common Agricultural Policy's future prospects.
