Vilnius authorities are considering a plan to integrate the city's Roma population into the society. It involves breaking up the notorious Roma town (the so-called Taboras) on the outskirts of Vilnius which has become a hub for drug sales.

A new Modern Art Centre is to be built in Vilnius by 2019. The design of a modern building by the Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind has been recently announced, and the construction is set to begin in 2017, Vilnius Convention reports.
