The Lithuanian government has given its approval to a proposal to increase the minimum wage by 25 euros, to 325 euros, from July.

The average per capita consumption of alcohol in Lithuanian last year edged down to 12.7 liters of legal absolute alcohol, from 12.9 liters in 2013, preliminary data from Statistics Lithuania shows.

In January, a total of 257,000 incoming and outgoing passengers used Lithuanian airports, or by 16.5 percent more than in January 2014.
