Statistics Lithuania announced that in July 2014, the average annual inflation calculated based on the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which is methodologically harmonised with those of other EU member states, stood at 0.4 percent.

Prices of consumer goods and services declined by 0.5% in July, compared with June, but annual inflation accelerated to 0.3%. Average annual inflation was at 0.3% in July – 1.9 percentage points lower than a year ago.
