Four top-division football players suspected of match-fixing

Four players of FK Jonava, a football club playing in A Lyga, the top division of professional football in Lithuania, are suspected of foul play, the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) said on Tuesday.

"As part of the investigation, suspicions of foul play have been brought against four players," it said in a statement. "After the initial investigation, the club's representatives have filed an appeal, which is currently being examined."

FK Jonava is actively cooperating in the investigation, according to the statement.

The LFF said it will make the results of the probe public once it is completed.
