"Now that the vaccine shortage issue has been resolved basically, we are now moving to the second phase, an efficient and rapid vaccination phase where a nationwide registration system and its smooth functioning are crucial," Simonas Krepsta told the Ziniu Radijas radio station.

"We need urgent solutions and answers from the Health Ministry," he added.

Currently, only major cities and towns have systems for pre-scheduled vaccination appointments. Other municipalities do not have such systems and organize the process on a come and wait basis, according to the advisor.

"We badly need a powerful and well-functioning registration system for shots," he said.
