A Lithuanian parliamentary committee, carrying a probe into interest groups' illicit influence on the political system and state institutions, should draw up its conclusions this week but a vote on them might be postponed.
"We’ll have them this week but the vote on them might be moved to the next week," Vytautas Bakas, chairman of the Seimas Committee on National Security and Defense, told BNS Lithuania on Monday.
The Seimas of Lithuania ordered the committee to carry out a probe into businessmen and other person's improper influence on state institutions, political processes and individual politicians and also identify non-transparent cases of funding of politicians' activity.
The State Security Department has recently disclosed information, submitted to the parliament, on activity of the MG Baltic business group.
