"This book shows our maturity. Just a few years ago it would not have been possible to imagine almost a hundred people openly sharing their stories, with their photos, real names and last names", Romas Zabarauskas said to the assembled guests. "Now it is possible, and today I can say that I belong to a community that I am really proud of. It’s a community that cares about justice, equality and freedom – important matters that are missing in our society here in Lithuania."

This book presentation in Vilnius will be followed by a series of other events. On Friday evening a presentation of the book will take place in Kaunas, at the "Frida Foundation” and on the same night, at the season opening of “SOHO LGBT Club” in Vilnius. Vilnius residents and city guests have an opportunity to see the exhibition of selected photos from the book by ARCANA FEMINA, at “Paviljonas“ until 5th October. The book will be widely available in bookstores around the country from the end of this week.

Lietuva atsiskleidžia: 99 LGBT+ istorijos was funded by generous and supportive sponsors from the community itself and its supporters. British businessman, founder & CEO of Reward Gateway, Glenn Elliott came on board as the book’s main patron. He described the importance of the book for the LGBT community - "The brave people featured in this book illuminate a beautiful path for others to follow. Truth and honesty have a remarkable power to change the world".
