The Nasdaq stock exchange announced on Monday about reorganization of AB LESTO, Lithuania's electricity distribution network operator, and Lietuvos Dujos (Lithuanian Gas).

The two companies will be merged into one, according to the press release. The new company will be called Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (Energy Distribution Operator), ESO.

The new company will assume LESTO and Lietuvos Dujos assets, rights and obligations on January 1, 2016.

AB LESTO runs Lithuania's electricity network. Lietuvos Dujos is the main natural gas company in Lithuania. Both are owned by the state company Lietuvos Energija (Lithuanian Energy).
