Voter turnout at 45.82% as election day ends

The overall voter turnout in the second round of 2023 mayoral elections in Lithuania stood at 45.82% by 8 p.m. Sunday, when the polling stations closed, the Central Electoral Commission (VRK) said.

On the election day, 19 March, 35.77% of eligible voters expressed their civic will from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Another 10.05% or 143 thousand people cast their ballots in early voting held on 14-18 March.
