The member of the British royal family will come to Lithuania on Oct. 10 with his wife Countess Sophie, Živilė Didžgalvienė, an advisor to the Lithuanian president, told BNS Lithuania.
The prince is scheduled to meet with President Dalia Grybauskaitė, lay flowers at the memorial to freedom fighters at Antakalnis Cemetery.
Together with the Lithuanian president, Prince Edward will bestow awards to young people who participated in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award program.
Prince Edward is the youngest third son of British Queen Elisabeth II and is the tenth in line to the British throne.
