Twenty-two of the new cases of the British variant were found by Lithuanian laboratories and eight by the reference laboratory of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

A total of 80 cases of the UK variant have been detected in 1,051 samples in Lithuania as part of the genome sequencing testing project coordinated the NPHSL.
