Survey: attitude to refugees and non-EU migrants changes

On the International Day of Tolerance, NGO Diversity Development Group and Ethnic Research Division of the Sociology Institute of the Lithuanian Social Sciences Centre announced results of a survey carried out for Lithuanians’ attitude towards ethnic and religious groups.

A public opinion survey of 1,024 residents of Lithuania aged 18 and over was carried out by Baltijos Tyrimai on 16–27 September 2022. It shows that the greatest social distance remains with regard to prison leavers, people with mental disabilities and the Roma community. The social distance with regard to refugees has significantly decreased if compared to 2021.
