2,413 reports were received in 2020 and 4,350 were received in 2021, the service said.
"In 2022, almost 30 percent of the SIS's all pre-trial investigations were opened on the basis of citizen reports. The majority of the received reports were about possible offenses in the areas of health care, environmental protection, local government and justice," said Mikas Bukauskas, of the SIS said.
4.7 percent reports in 2022 were anonymous and 57 people were rewarded for valuable information and paid more than 40,000 euros.
"This is almost twice as much as in 2021 when 31 people were paid 22,000 euros. The maximum amount paid per person is 2,500 euros after tax," the report states.
