Šimašius: most residents of Vilnius are not interested in mayoral candidates’ sexual orientation

Outgoing Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, member of the Freedom Party who held the position in 2015-2023 but is not seeking for the third term in office, believes that the party’s mayoral candidate Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius may win the mayoral election in Vilnius.

Šimašius does not think that voters are interested in the sexual orientation of Raskevičius who is openly gay.
“In my opinion Vilnius is a very open city.
