It was said in early October that formal suspicions in the criminal case had been brought against 87 people and that civil claims totaled more than 92,000 euros.

A temporary restraint of property right was imposed on the suspects' assets worth 173,900 euros during the pre-trial investigation to secure the civil claims.

A probe into public calls for violence against the sovereignty of Lithuania has also been added to the pre-trial investigation, with suspicions brought against one individual.

The riot outside the parliament building in central Vilnius broke out on the evening of August 10, 2021, following a rally against the government's plans to impose restrictions for those who refuse to get vaccinated or tested for COVID-19.

Once the Seimas sitting ended, some protesters blocked exits from the parliament and the driveway into its internal courtyard. The police used teargas against stone-throwing rioters.
