Gitanas Nausėda had never communicated with KGB on any matter, the presidential adviser said in response to speculations in the media which followed the news that the head of state joined the Communist party in 1988.

“The president had never talked to KGB officers on any issues, including his internship in Germany,” Ridas Jasiulionis said in his comment to ELTA.
