The Office of the President welcomes changes in the political team of Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

In an interview to the public radio LRT, chief adviser to the president on foreign affairs Asta Skaisgirytė said that renewal is always needed and the addition of new people is met with the expectation that the situation will become better than it was.

She expects decision-making processes to improve after several officials join the Foreign Ministry.

Last week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that two new deputy ministers, Jonas Survila and Jovita Neliupšienė, would be appointed, as well as foreign minister’s spokeswoman Paulina Levickytė and political director of the Foreign Ministry Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.
