The poll commissioned by news website delfi.lt was carried out by pollster Spinter Tyrimai on 18-28 June. Respondents were asked whom they would vote for if the presidential election took place next weekend.
The majority of the respondents, 16.6%, indicated that they would cast ballots for Nausėda, while 15.2% stated they would vote for Grybauskaitė.
7.6% of the polled would vote for former prime minister Saulius Skvernelis, while 7.2% would support incumbent Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė.
Lawyer Ignas Vėgėlė, known for his controversial statements about lockdown restrictions and vaccination, would receive 5.8% of votes in the presidential race.
Further on the list are Social Democratic leader Vilija Blinkevičiūtė (named by 4.4% of the polled), Parliament Speaker and Liberal Movement’s leader Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen (2.7%), Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS) leader Ramūnas Karbauskis (2.1%), Conservative leader and Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis (2%).
Meanwhile, MP Aurelijus Veryga, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, MEP Aušra Maldeikienė, MEP Valdemar Tomaševski and MP Petras Gražulis were each named by fewer than 2% of the polled.
In addition, 11.5% of the respondents said they would not vote in the presidential election, whereas 14.9% of the polled were undecided who they would support.
On 18-28 June, 1,015 people aged 18-75 took part in the poll. Their distribution based on age, gender and place of residence was proportional to Lithuania’s demographics. The polling error is 3.1%.
