Politician faces voter bribery allegations

Tauragė County Police Headquarters is carrying out a pre-trial investigation into voter bribery and suspicions have been made against Kęstas Komskis, former mayoral candidate in Pagėgiai municipality in 2023 local elections that took place on 5 and 19 March.

The pre-trial investigation was opened into hindering to exercise the right of elections. It is suspected that voting-age people were offered money in return for casting ballots for Komskis, a member of the Lithuanian Regions Party, in runoff voting of mayoral elections in Pagėgiai on 19 March.
