Political parties collect EUR 2.2mn for municipal elections

The Central Electoral Commission (VRK) has announced that political parties have collected EUR 2.27 million for mayoral and municipal elections that will take place on 5 March, but so far have used EUR 1.31 million of the amount for the political campaign.

Based on the data provided by treasurers of the participants of the political campaign, appropriations allocated by political organisations themselves account for the largest amount of funding – EUR 1.77 million.
