On Tuesday, 27 September, the opposition interpellated Minister of Energy Dainius Kreivys in parliament. Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė expressed her trust in the minister, stating that the opposition has the right to hold the interpellation but the minister is doing everything right. Afterwards, the Seimas voted and approved Kreivys’ answers to interpellation questions, which means that he will retain his position.

“I evaluate the opposition’s intentions very simply – the opposition is doing its work. How much the questions are reasonable is a different matter. The interpellation contains questions that contradict one another, but this is nothing new or unique in the work of hour honourable opposition,” Šimonytė told reporters Tuesday.
