Lithuania is doing well with land takeovers and the neighbouring country is also moving forward, she noted.
“For our part, and for Poland’s part, we will certainly be able to do our part sooner than by 2030, which is the new deadline for the whole project. We have a lot of projects going on and land takeovers run smoothly. Poland also has that kind of attitude. In Latvia, when the construction started, it was feared that it would only progress towards Lithuania, as it was Estonia’s interest to have it moving towards them at the same time, because it has to connect all three countries,” Šimonytė told the Seimas in Government Hour on Thursday.
