PM: European response is necessary to energy crisis caused by Russia

After a meeting with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Vilnius on Monday, Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė stated that Europe needed joint decisions in order to solve problems caused by the energy crisis.

According to Šimonytė, national measures are suitable and can be justified to a certain extent, until countries start competing with how generous they are, as this would cause issues not only for their own energy systems but also for the EU’s single market.
