Opposition MPs propose creating an ad hoc investigation commission after the former director of the Public Security Service (VST) Ričardas Pocius accused Minister of the Interior Agnė Bilotaitė of negligently carrying out her duties. Pocius left VST on 20 October on the mutual agreement but publicly claimed that he was being pressured to resign after riots near parliament that happened in August 2021.

MP Domas Griškevičius from the party Democrats For Lithuania told the news agency ELTA on Thursday that the proposal on founding the ad hoc investigation commission has been drafted and discussed, and it remained only to collect signatures of 35 cosponsors to have the proposal included in parliament’s agenda.
