New mayor and council members take oaths in Vilnius

Newly elected Mayor of Vilnius City Valdas Benkunskas and members of Vilnius City Municipal Council took oaths on 26 April following local elections held in March.

At the first sitting of the Council, Simona Bieliūnė from the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrat party (TS-LKD) and Donalda Meiželytė from the Freedom Party were approved as Deputy Mayors.
