“I have always wanted tougher sanctions, and most likely a number of the EU countries wanted tougher sanctions which would have a quicker impact on the Russian economy. That impact is already there, and I think it will only accelerate, as we will see consequences of the sanctions on the Russian economy becoming more and more visible,” he told reporters in Kaunas.
